“书画心”,是书画装裱的行语,是相对书画裱件而言,即指未经装裱的书画作品。不论书画家、收藏家和爱好者或者书画经营者所存的书画作品,其中除少部分已装裱外,其余大部分都为书画心。这便存在一个如何正确保存的问题。

书画家们所售出或持赠的作品,往往都折叠装入专门印制的信封内,画廊中所售出的书画心亦常以此种形式“包装”。而购书画者或接受书画者,也习惯了以这种包装形式存放。30年前,笔者曾拜访一位书画收藏家朋友,他取其珍藏让我欣赏,只见几摞信封置于案头,每幅作品都折叠起来装在信封内,并在信封上一一注明了作者的姓名、作品的名称与尺寸以及求得的年份。其中不乏当代大家的珍品。展阅过程中,朋友不无得意地问我:“你看我存画讲究不?”笔者沉默良久回答说:“您存画太不讲究了1朋友愕然,于是我取出一幅作品展开,冲着光线与他一起观看,只见作品的折痕已有些“透明”,又将作品铺于一层白纸上观察,发现折痕处已微微泛黑。朋友看后心痛不已,悔不该如此“讲究”!凡书画折叠售出或持赠,这仅是权宜之计,而作品一旦到了藏者手中,应立马采取保护性的合理方法收存。如果再继续折叠存放,又时常取出展示,数年便出现以上有损书画纸质的现象。尤其纸质脆弱和熟纸类书画作品,此举危害更大,有的折痕处完全断裂或出现酥脱。

“卷存”方法更可行

先把书画心按幅面尺寸的大小分别归类,规格大致相同者放在一起,20―30幅为一份,并登记造表。在每幅书画心的下面各衬一层幅面略大的宣纸或皮纸,以防止书画间墨色相互渗染。以报纸卷为心将书画卷起,勿使其幅面卷压出皱褶。再以宣纸或报纸包裹,装入塑料袋,置于书画盒或画箱内。此为“卷存”方法,是存放书画心的常规方法。还有一种“展存”方法,即将书画心平铺摞在案板上(每幅书画心下面也要衬垫一层宣纸),大幅在下、小幅在上,并在上面覆盖几层报纸或塑料膜,注意不要压重物。展存方法只适用于四尺规格以下的书画心,较大幅面的书画心恐无展存条件,仍以卷存方法为宜。巨幅书画心,如七尺、八尺、丈二、丈六或以多幅拼接的书画心,也不应折叠存放,可卷起并包裹严实置于书橱或衣橱上方,或拴绳吊挂于墙上。

不宜托心存放

“托心”,书画装裱工艺程序用语,即在书画心的背面以陷糊托合一层宣纸,是书画装裱的道工序。书画不宜托心存放,因一经托心,便增加了书画的厚度与硬度,如果再时常展阅或拍照,则很容易使其幅面出现折痕,对书画质地极具伤害性,日后付诸装裱时,必须揭掉托纸重新托心,于书画的寿命不利。但有的书画家和收藏者为了展出、结集出版而将书画托心,而后又未能及时付诸装裱,这种情况可采劝展存”的方法保存比较稳妥。或采用“卷存”方法,严实包装封存,不可压以他物。凡托心存放的书画,在付裱前不宜时常打开展阅或拍照。
